Do you suspect a leak but your inhibited glycol is clear? One purpose of dyed propylene glycol and ethylene glycol is to provide leak detection. This is imperative in food and beverage facilities. However, the market offers various undyed (clear) glycol brands. If you suspect a leak, consider adding dye to your glycol system. Houghton Chemical provides food grade glycol dye and non food grade dye glycol dye. Remember, when you purchase glycol, color counts. Please suggest a suitable product and send the Product Data Sheet & a quote for MOQ.
What color dye and quantity do you need?
Is there any way to reduce or change the colour of the dye if needed? Possibly a reaction to acids or alkaline fluids ect..
Please contact our Sales Manager, Sol Sandperl, at ssandperl@houghton.com or 617-254-1010 and he will be able to help you.
